As president and founder of Ownership Advisors, Richard is passionate about helping successful families manage, protect and transfer their total wealth. Richard is the creator of The PurposedWealth System, a unique process for affluent families and entrepreneurs to build alignment between financial wealth and life purpose. With over twenty years of experience, Richard has authored many articles on business succession and charitable estate planning. In addition to counseling his own clients, Richard successfully engineered his own exit strategy after more than 10 years with a prominent local family held business.

Enthusiasm, confidence and compassion are what people say after meeting Mark Van Drunen. His strong analytical skills and warm demeanor help Mark deliver Raving Fan Service to our wealth management clients.
Mark brings a rare combination of technical ability, communication, and leadership to Ownership Advisors. With both a Master's Degree in Financial Planning and Taxation, along with his Certified Financial Planning designation, Mark is uniquely qualified to serve even our most demanding wealth management clients. Prior to joining Ownership Advisors, Mark was head of financial and estate planning for the largest independent brokerage firm in the U.S. Most recently, Mark worked with some of the most successful high net-worth families in the area, managing over $170 million for a large local bank.

Mark brings unusual passion to help those less fortunate than himself. Right out of college, his first job was teaching disadvantaged young people how to work. According to Mark, "I was blessed to be raised in a great family with strong values and work ethic. Giving back was something I learned early on."
Mark and his wife, Sarah, live in Hudson and enjoy sharing time with their two young daughters, one son and extended family. Mark is very involved with his local church and enjoys leading a small Bible study in his spare time. He also plays soccer in a weekend men's league.

Mike Giesken or Coach as many call him, brings passion and enthusiasm to everything he touches. Formerly a highly successful football coach, as our Vice President of Marketing, Mike brings unique insights and energy to solving business problems. To clients, suppliers our staff and even the waitress at Bob Evans, Mike shows a sincere interest in people that goes far beyond the typical sales role. With over 25 years of professional sales experience, Mike has worked in multiple industries, trained and managed many sales teams and created a unique Servant Sales approach that must be experienced to fully appreciate. The core of his process starts with listening and caring about people. Mike believes everyone deserves to be heard and understood before solutions can be provided. Mikes philosophy of serving people fits well with the Ownership Advisors Client for Life approach.
Married for 29 years to his high school sweet heart Deb, Mikes like to say he married up. And as a newly minted grandfather, Mike really appreciates the importance of family legacy. As a former history teacher, Mike is an avid history buff and loves a good story. Mike is a member of Grace Church in Middleburgh Heights and is on the regional board of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which oversees OH, MI, IN & WV. Mike is a member of CBMC, a local Christian business men's group where he teaches and leads a Biblical leadership class.

Mike is Vice President, Business Development for Ownership Advisors. His passion is to help generous, entrepreneurial families create and implement exit strategies that address their goals of achieving significance, leaving a legacy and maintaining harmony throughout the process. His unique approach helps owners understand that a successful exit plan is not a transaction but a process to preserve wealth and create a lasting legacy.
A 20+year veteran of the plastics industry, Mike served in business leadership roles with PolyOne Corporation, M.A. Hanna and Dow Chemical. He used these skills to form The Rockwood Group, Inc., a consulting firm, specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategic Planning and Marketing. He was also associated with GLIDE (Great Lakes Initiative Development Enterprise) as an adviser to entrepreneurs and start-up businesses. He is on the Board of Trustees of Polymer Ohio, Inc., Bowled Solutions Corp. and The EFCA Allegheny District Conference.
A native of north Alabama, Mike earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from Auburn University. Mike has lived in Louisiana and Michigan, but settled in northeast Ohio in 1998 with wife Eva and son, Tyler. He serves as Chapel Leader for the Avon, OH professional baseball team, The Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League. An avid musician and traveler, Mike likes golf and enjoys water sports on Lake Erie, but most importantly enjoys his family and work in the church.

Joyce Schindler brings 16 years of executive assistant and office management experience to Ownership Advisors. With over ten years in financial services, Joyce understands the sensitivity necessary when dealing with private family wealth matters. While experience is important, attitude is everything. Joyce brings a quiet confidence to our office each day allowing us to be more effective in delivering on our promises to clients. Without drawing attention to herself, Joyce consistently anticipates our needs and gets things done. Our clients appreciate her positive attitude, professional approach and warm spirit.
Joyce and her husband Jim love visiting museums and hiking. Izzy, their black lab, prefers the hiking however. Joyce is an active member of Divinity Lutheran Church and serves on several boards and committees along with active involvement in the Via de Cristo movement.
